Description
Cagrilintide is a long-acting, lipidated analog of human amylin, the 37-amino-acid pancreatic hormone co-secreted with insulin. It is classified as a dual amylin and calcitonin receptor agonist (DACRA): the peptide backbone is stabilized against fibrillation, and a C20 fatty-diacid side chain enables albumin binding for an extended half-life. Cagrilintide is one of the most closely studied amylin analogs in the current literature, both alone and in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists such as semaglutide. It is supplied here for controlled analytical and laboratory investigation of amylin- and calcitonin-receptor signaling.
Research focus
- Amylin receptor (AMY1–3) and calcitonin receptor (CTR) activation
- Long-acting peptide design: lipidation, albumin binding and fibrillation resistance
- Combination studies with GLP-1 / GIP receptor agonists (e.g. Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, Retatrutide)
