Description
Adamax is a synthetic, adamantane-modified analog of Semax, the heptapeptide derived from the ACTH(4–10) fragment (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro). The addition of a lipophilic adamantyl group is intended to increase enzymatic stability and membrane permeability relative to the parent peptide, making it a subject of interest for studies of long-acting neuropeptide analogs. It is supplied here for controlled analytical and laboratory investigation of neurotrophic and melanocortin-pathway signaling.
Research focus
- Neurotrophic factor (BDNF/TrkB) signaling
- Melanocortin-receptor pathway activity
- Peptide stability and structure–activity relationships of adamantylated analogs
