Description
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a 28-amino-acid, N-terminally acetylated peptide originally isolated from thymic tissue and derived from the N-terminus of prothymosin alpha. It is one of the most extensively characterised immunomodulatory peptides in the literature, acting through Toll-like receptor pathways (TLR2 and TLR9) on dendritic cells and other antigen-presenting cells to shape downstream T-cell and cytokine responses. It is supplied here for controlled analytical and laboratory investigation of innate and adaptive immune signaling.
Research focus
- Toll-like receptor (TLR2 / TLR9) signaling and dendritic-cell activation
- T-cell maturation, Th1 cytokine profiles and immune-regulatory pathways
- Thymic peptide structure–activity relationships and acetylation dependence
